"We travel all over the world and are used to staying in top quality although usually corporate styled hotels, as I was due to participate in a BDMLR course at the nearby Lochgoilhead,we decided to stay at the Thistle House Guest House, and what a find, from the minute we arrived we received an exceptional welcome, we were shown to a beautiful room with stunning views,we were then invited to the lounge for coffee ,cake and shortbread, the hosts could not do enough for us preparing early breakfasts ( delicious omletes) and we had requested packed lunches which by any standards were incredible, sandwiches, sausage rolls, cake , biscuits , crisps, and fruit ,water, all for an exceptionally reasonable price, the guest house was immaculate throughout spotlessly clean ,we felt like we were the first guest to have entered this sumptuous property, it was so well looked after,
the property was fully occupied yet we felt as if we were the only guests and so enjoyed the grandeur of Thistle House , additionally the hosts were kind enough to give us details of nearby restaurants which allowed us to book in advance. finally we had an exceptionally comfortable sleep, the rooms are all en-suite with well equipped bathrooms with shower, ample parking and well signposted in both directions, definitely visit again !!!"
